Herbarium is the title of Felipe’s work. This archival project recollects the endemic flora located at the gardens of the Campus Juan Gómez Moya at the Universidad de Chile, terrains which since the beginning of 2012 were remodelated and which green areas were approximately 40% of the terrain. This allowed that several buildings could be built.
The students of the university opposed to the destruction of the green areas that allowed that the School of Visual Arts would become a oasis. Alarcon rescues, classifies and exhibits as a herbarium the species which have disappeared. The herbarium is put into tension with the protest texts regarding the destruction which had been produced by the authorities of the university.
